Race Preview

OYSTER LANE (3) ran a cracker on debut at Caulfield, sneaking up the inside to hit the front before the talented Sonofkirk flew late to nab him on he line. He'll be better for that run and with any natural improvement he'll take a power of beating. The interesting one is SHINING SMILE (1) who resumes having won his past four in a row. He's a talented colt who has been well placed to keep the winning streak alive. That's true again here given his ratings' profile however he does have to concede these a fair bit of weight. BOLD SECRET (10) is the sole debutant in the field, a gelding by Brazen Beau for the Stokes yard. He's looked very smart at the jump outs and should take plenty of beating. SIDELINE (7) was heavily supported to win on debut at Ballarat Synthetic. Harder here but the Begg/Childs combination are a force to be reckoned with. PETIT ARTISTE (2) showed ability last time in and has claims.
