D'AGUILAR (3) was terrific rounding up White Marlin at Pakenham before a sound effort back to 1800m last week. Turns around quickly now which worked for him last prep and can work for him again. He is untried over this longer trip but gives the impression that he will stay and that can see him prove too good for these. HERMAN HESSE (6) was terrific at Mornington. Just okay in the Ramsden but far less depth to this. SWORDS DRAWN (2) would love the rain to fall and keep falling. HOPEFUL (1) might improve now. Beaten just three and two home this time around but this is far and away the easiest race he has contested in Australia.
