Race Analysis

FREEDOM ESCAPE (11) was a third up winner last prep and arrives here looking ready to peak and win at this point of the campaign once again. Terrific effort at the Valley and 1800m on the bigger track now appeals as a lovely scenario for him. DESPERADO (9) was able to win off a long break at Warrnambool and can only be fitter for that. Will need to improve into much tougher company only lightly tried in New Zealand before what was his local debut last time and has huge upside now. AWESOME JOHN (14) comes down the highway off a win. Strong home off a steady pace there and won it well. HASSELTOFF (12) doesn't win many but one of his two wins did come here and HOLLYWOOD PARK (13) has to be respected despite a fairly plain run at Geelong last time.
