Expert Overview

NATURE STRIP (1) was turned over in the Everest where he was forced to do his share of work early and was left vulnerable late. The straight course allows him to find his rhythm without rushing and when he gets into his flow there is no beating him. Posted a world class performance winning here in an almost identical scenario in 2019 and won this by a space last year. There BELLA NIPOTINA (9) chased him home, finishing third, and 12 months on she is a better mare. Career best effort to win the Manikato in fine style last time makes her the biggest threat to the champ. GIGA KICK (14) was able to knock him off last time after winning the Danehill here. Huge effort and now faces the task of repeating. PAULELE (5) gets the blinkers on now and should run well along with the Kiwi star LEVANTE (12) who was terrific winning the stand side race in the Newmarket here.
