Expert Overview

PERSAN (2) has been building through the spring. Racing well without being at his absolute top but that could still be to come and could well be here. Think the race will set right up for him. Not a great deal of pace on paper and he should land handy. Takes some getting by. Key interest in the Australian debut of SOULCOMBE (11) who has been going the right way in a hurry in the UK this season - winning three from four since being gelded. That form has come in deep handicaps and will hold up here. LUNAR FLARE (5) missed her chance at the Cup but had been terrific in the lead up and must be respected as she chases some consilation. LUNCIES (9) was never a factor at Geelong but the Turnbull run was good and the same can be said of GREAT HOUSE (4) who ran nice splits in the Turnbull but was never sighted in the Caulfield Cup. Going well enough to win something like this.
