Competitive little race to open proceedings. MARBLE ARCH (3) goes on top having won well in this grade two back at Caulfield Heath before just finding one better when well supported in the Lord Stakes last time. She drops in weight under the conditions and looks well placed. WINGS OF SONG (4) was big odds fresh at Pakenham but proved too strong late in a great return over 1400m. She's got an outstanding winning record and 1600m suits her even better. Rates highly. MOLLYNICKERS (5) broke a long run of outs with a narrow win at Geelong last start in BM84 grade. She drops 4kg and certainly has the ability if things fall her way again. MUNHAMEK (1) struggled fresh in the Supernova at Pakenham but is a class horse on his day, hence the 61.5kg impost, which he's good enough to overcome. POSITIVITY (2) is first up off a Melbourne Cup run so likely has fitness to come but must be included.
