FLAMIN' ROMANS (5) is a consistent stayer who should be right there in the finish again. He stuck on gamely when the pace came out at Pakenham over this trip, beaten 0.5 lengths by a handy one in Divus Romulus. He has the versatility to sit where comfortable in run and should prove hard to get past. SAMUEL LANGHORNE (3) ran a cheeky race fresh at Ballarat before an even effort at Pakenham behind a progressive horse in Deakin. Getting to 2500m third up looks ideal. NEWFOUNDLAND (2) drops in class from a good run in the Bagot last time but does rise a fair bit in the weights for it. He's still relatively lightly raced with just 14 starts to his name and this looks a nice race for him. TARAMANSOUR (1) should be ready to fire now out a proper staying journey and has the ability to win this. VIVIDEEL (7) was good behind Deakin last time and can figure
