SERPENTINE (1) ran a much better race in the G2 Moonee Valley Gold Cup last start when working home well to finish within half a length of Okita Soushi, who ran a cracking 3rd in the Melbourne Cup. He's hard to catch when he's out and rolling and McDonald on is a big positive. AMADE (3) was solid in the G3 Geelong Cup last time having run a big race here prior in the G3 Bart Cummings. He's a tough old stayer who will be hard to hold out if he jumps away cleanly. Big watch on KINESIOLOGY (7) who was scratched from Tuesday to run here. He was given a genuine all-in chance in the Melbourne Cup which can't be said for any of these. Very wary. BERKELEY SQUARE (2) continues to race well and should be hard to hold out. STAR VEGA (8) next best.
