Having attended the races for over 25 years, James still rates attending with his family as some of his favourite. On course for Stakes Day, James is hoping there's value in his tips, to end Carnival on a high.

Race Preview

ANGLAND (9) gets the nod in the opener having gone to Murray Bridge and won dominantly last start over 1400m. He's always promised very good ability and being by a Derby winner in Ace High, he should relish getting to 1600m for the first time. Big watch on BLANCHLAND (3) who makes his Australian debut. His UK form is over further but he's got the ability and has looked good at the jump outs. Creates interest and can run well. NATION'S CALL (1) was a tough winner fresh at Moe over this trip after being well backed. Fitter and maps ideally, no reason he can't win again. CEERSEVEN (6) was better second up at Moonee Valley and could sneak into the finish. ANAHITA (7) gets McDonald on and can improve.
