Race Overview

Terrific race with a ticket into the All Star Mile waiting for the winner. TUVALU (1) didn't really mount a threat when resuming but that was a messy race and he was well within two lengths of the winner on the line. Facing a very different scenario now with this expected to be a strongly contested race up to the mile and it was that recipe that brought about his Toorak win in the spring. UNCLE BRYN (7) will also relish a well-run mile. Not a lot of luck when resuming, bottled up behind runners, but clearly had plenty more to offer and his peaks in the spring say he is right up to this. GENTLEMAN ROY (4) all but won the Orr. First past the post there and that has to be respected. Little setback since and no cheap lead expected this time but he is so honest he demands respect. POUNDING (6) is racing well and can measure up to those bigger names.
