VRC Young Member Charles has loved horses since childhood. Introduced to racing by his grandfather, he's now a part-owner of two promising Flemington prospects. He’s confident he has a few winners in his tips.

EVELARE (3) is a progressive four-year-old who has won his past three. He sprinted quickly off a farcically slow tempo two back but showed plenty of adaptability winning off a faster speed up to 1800m last time. Another 200m will suit and he maps well. SHINY NEW DEEL (11) tried hard behind Revelare at Sandown Lakeside last time with a huge gap back to third. He should also relish getting to 2000m and gets in with 53kg. KAPAKIRI (4) ran well fresh over 1500m at Rosehill before an even effort when in the market last time out to this trip. He may have been one run short there and can be peaking here. MISS TARZY (8) has placed in her past three, sticking on well for third last time. She should be thereabouts. LE ZEBRA (2) is consistent and does have some form that would go close.
