Race Overview

Wide open. FIRST IMMORTAL (2) has shown glimpses of talent in his short career to date and his best effort so far was his latest one, up forcing a good pace and setting up a nice overall time and rating in Adelaide. Doubt this takes a great deal more winning and he should get into a top spot from the good draw under the gun jock. The draw is the query for DASHING (1) who got a soft run last time and took full advantage. Won well and he has had a terrific prep. Just faces a tougher spot this time. TAPA CAPALL (16) comes throug the same race where he closed strongly. Liked that run but he is another that draws wide and it might see him spotting a big start again. IMPENDING LINK (7) was okay in Adelaide and his Pakenham mile win showed talent. SMULLEN (13) also brings form from the Pakenham mile where he closed like one looking for 2000m last time. Has nice upside.
