Race Overview

Good race. KING'S GAMBIT (3) has the form on the board last time in so I'll lean his way. Since a dominant debut win at Caulfield he's finished close up in all starts, placing in the G1 Golden Slipper before a spell. Rates highly and should go close. I AM UNSTOPPABLE (6) caught the eye with a big finish first up in the G3 Vain Stakes at Caulfield behind Cylinder. His big turn of foot should suit the straight. PIVOT CITY (12) couldn't have been more impressive on debut. It was only a Bendigo maiden but he won it by 5 lengths and should be measuring up. KANDINSKY ABSTRACT (11) worked home quite well first up at Rosehill. The shine might have come off a bit but he's firmly in the mix. No knock on BARBER (1) who was a solid 2yo benchmark.
