Race Overview

Small but select field for the feature. MALKOVICH (2) is a winner over the straight 1000m and will take plenty of catching again. He was only overrun late first up at Rosehill over 1100m and back in trip is no issue for the speedster. Worth nothing Bjorn Baker has a very good strike rate when bringing one to Melbourne. NAJEM SUHAIL (3) was ridden off the pace here last time and exploded to win well. Tactics this time will be interesting but he rates highly. RICH FORTUNE (5) is a progressive mare with a good record. Her only run here was good in a strong 3yo race. 1000m at this level might be a touch sharp. KATSU (7) is a nice type resuming. It wouldn't shock if he measured right up this time in. GENERATION (4) hasn't won in forever but rarely runs poorly and should be thereabouts again.
