Race Overview

KALAPOUR (2) was good in the G1 Metropolitan two back and again solid in Sydney behind a smart import, not far off Cleveland who then won the G2 Moonee Valley Gold Cup. Racing in good form and just needs to hold it to be in the finish. ATHABASCAN (3) was behind Cleveland at Moonee Valley which ties in, and he didn't have any luck there. Racing very well and looks to get every chance here. MOSTLY CLOUDY (4) won over this route two back in good style before a sound effort in the G3 Bart Cummings last time out. That looks good form for this. LADIES MAN (1) is interesting, a last start G1 winner in New Zealand. He's placed over 3200m so the trip will be no issue, but he does pay the penalty at the weights. UNITED NATIONS (5) was too close to a very strong speed in the Caulfield Cup and can bounce back in this.
