The G1 Victoria Oaks. ZARDOZI (2) charged home to just miss on Saturday in the G2 Wakeful Stakes, finishing a nose away after carrying 2kg more than the winner. Drawn well here, should have no issue with the 2500m and looks hard to beat. AMAZONIAN LASS (3) set a strong pace in the Wakeful and did enough to hold off Zardozi. Will roll forward and take plenty of catching again. TROPICAL SQUALL (1) is interesting. She won the G1 Flight Stakes leading all the way and then went for home early in the G3 Ethereal but was run down late. The trip is a query here but the stable are very hard to knock. BASILINNA (7) has caught the eye with some strong finishes including last start in the Ethereal. If she can land closer here she'll be very hard to hold out. AETHELFLAED (8) similarly looks a proper stayer and will be hard to hold out.
