EXIT (4) had been well backed in the G2 Blue Diamond Prelude on debut, struggling there but confirming the suspicions of ability with a smart win first up at Sandown Hillside over 1300m. Shinn sticks from the soft draw and she looks capable of going right on with it. CROSSBOW (2) has been strong to the line in two runs back this preparation in Sydney, missing a smart one narrowly at Randwick last time out. Likely goes back from the draw but shouldn't be far away in the small field and will be hard to hold out. OUR CHIEF (3) was good behind a smart one on debut, relishing the rise in trip at Geelong to score dominantly. Rolls forward for Lane and measures up. HILLIER (1) resumes with a tidy maiden win at short odds and looks open to improvement. REDDERS (5) controlled things and won well at Geelong although will need to improve.

First-up after four months favourite; raced right near the speed and boxed on; won by a head at Newcastle Cg&E Mdn-Sw July 15 over 1200m on a soft track defeating Harry's Evidence with 56.5kg at $1.80. Previously second-up 6th of 10 at Randwick Pierro on February 15 over 1100m, 5 len behind Shaggy carrying 56kg at $10. Can go on with it now.
Third-up today. Resuming came home strongly from last on the turn; 2nd of 7 at Canterbury 2yo C&G Mdn on June 18 over 1250m, slow going long-neck behind Central Coast with 56.5kg at $19. Second-up sat on speed throughout when 2nd of 8 at Randwick 2yo Hcp on July 12 over 1400m, slow going nose behind Tomato Toastie with 56kg at $2.70. Profiles nicely. Very hard to hold out.
Third race start today. At debut, made ground from midfield; 2nd of 12 at Bendigo 2yo Mdn-Sw on June 14 over 1100m, on a slow track; 4.5 len behind Signature Scent with 58kg at $6. Last start favourite; tracked the speed and boxed on steadily; scored a big 4 len win at Geelong 2yo Mdn-Sw July 11 over 1430m on a rain affected track defeating Emperor Tzu carrying 58kg at $2.20. Should measure up strongly.
Third race start. First start second last of 10 at Caulfield in the G2 Bd/Prel F on February 8 over 1100m, 6 len behind Palm Angel with 56kg at $7. Returned from break favourite; won by 1.3 len at Sandown-Hillside 2yo Hcp July 16 over 1300m in soft going defeating Expulsion with 56kg at $2.50. Talented type who rates highly.
Last start won by 1.5 len at Geelong 2yo Mdn-Sw July 25 over 1150m on a soft track defeating Lapland with 58kg at $10. The start before that ran last of 8 at this track 2yo Final on July 5 over 1200m, on a slow track; 9 len behind Jimmy Recard with 57kg at $61. Harder here but can sneak into the minors.
Dual acceptor. At the latest run made ground from midfield; 2nd of 7 at Geelong 2yo Mdn-Sw on July 11 over 1430m, on a slow track; 4 len behind Our Chief carrying 58kg at $5.50. Before that 4th of 7 at Ballarat Synthetic Mdn-Sw on June 11 over 1100m, 2.5 len behind Chills 'N' Thrills carrying 57kg at $3.10. Hard to see him troubling the top chances this time.
At debut, 4th of 10 at Seymour 2yo Mdn-Sw on July 20 over 1200m, on a slow track; 1.0 len behind Royal Turf with 56kg at $15. Minor hope.
