This looks a relatively soft race Saturday race and he maps for every chance. DETROIT CITY (1) won well on debut at Wodonga, tracking the speed and coming away to win by four lengths. Didn't beat much there but looks promising and must be respected. EVAPORATE (5) was rolled as a $1.30 chance first up but showed good promise last time in and the rise in trip suits much better. Can improve sharply. SCOUNDREL (2) comes down from NSW and must be respected with Jamie Kah in the saddle. EJECT (3) is in the each way mix.

Second-up 5th of 8 at Sandown-Lakeside 2yo Hcp on July 17 over 1200m, in the wet; 2.75 len behind Lovelycut carrying 58kg at $15. Genuine hope on best form.

Dominant last time and can go on with it now.

Previously second-up 2nd of 9 at Ballarat 2yo Mdn-Sw on February 25 over 1100m, nose behind Immortal Star carrying 58kg at $6. Has upside and can make amends.
