TAB Turnbull Stakes Day 2024

The smell of spring is well and truly in the air and the action on the track heats up in the lead-up to Cup week.

TAB Turnbull Stakes Day historically is a yard stick for contenders and horses to watch heading towards the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Boasting more than $3 million in prizemoney, and a 10-race card full of quality. The $750,000 Group 1 TAB Turnbull Stakes (2000m) is the highlight of the day, while a golden ticket is on offer in the Group 3 Lexus Bart Cummings (2500m), giving one horse ballot exemption into the $8.56 million 2024 Lexus Melbourne Cup (3200m).

Also on the card is the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1100m), Group 2 Gilgai Stakes (1200m), Furphy Rose Of Kingston Stakes (1400m) and the Group 2 TAB Edward Mainfold Stakes (1600m).

Kids under 12 are FREE.

The Spring Social Club

Head to the west end of the Flemington Front Lawn for The Spring Social Club - your go-to destination for pickleball, pop-up bars, delicious pizza, and endless socialising.

VRC is delighted to introduce the extremely popular sport of Pickleball to Flemington over spring. In collaboration with the National Pickleball League a full-sized pickleball feature court will be set up along the famous Flemington Straight, just past the winning post

VRC Punters Club

Located in The Atrium (Members) and in Saintly Place Sports Bar (General Admission) for this Sunday's Spring Classics Preview Day.

The VRC Punters Club has become a Flemington favourite and the best part is anyone can join and it is only $10! Follow along with our expert tipsters who will hopefully turn a profit for you while providing racing insights and tips throughout the day. The VRC will also put an additional $500 into the kitty for the VRC Punters Club each race day!

Our expert punters this week will be Marc Ohlmus & Grace Ramage. Which team will you be on this week? You must attend in person to take part.

Saintly Place Sports Bar

The indoor sports bar comes alive with bar sports, betting facilities, live racing on TV, refreshing drinks, and takeaway food. Settle in or grab a drink - watch all the days racing from the comfort of your table inside the grandstand. Even participate in the day's punting and register for the Punters Club.
