The smell of spring is well and truly in the air and the action on the track heats up in the lead-up to Cup week.
TAB Turnbull Stakes Day historically is a yard stick for contenders and horses to watch heading towards the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Boasting more than $3 million in prizemoney, and a 10-race card full of quality. The $750,000 Group 1 TAB Turnbull Stakes (2000m) is the highlight of the day, while a golden ticket is on offer in the Group 3 Lexus Bart Cummings (2500m), giving one horse ballot exemption into the $8.56 million 2024 Lexus Melbourne Cup (3200m).
Also on the card is the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1100m), Group 2 Gilgai Stakes (1200m), Furphy Rose Of Kingston Stakes (1400m) and the Group 2 TAB Edward Manifold Stakes (1600m).
