GEAR UP (4) was gelded leading into this preparation and has come back better. He blew the cobwebs off first-up before being clicked up early and winning the Listed Victoria Cup at Caulfield last start. He's a Group 1 winner overseas and the trip will be no issue. DUNKEL (3) was beaten in the Pakenham Cup with 60kg aft6er drifting late. Two wins prior were soft and he can bounce back. MANKAYAN (7) was a nose behind Gear Up last start and just behind Dunkel prior so must have a good chance again. GLENTANEOUS (5) was 2nd in the Pakenham Cup and did win the Bagot here over 2800m very well a few runs back. MARK TWAIN (13) is coming back from the 3200m of the Auckland Cup. He'll be strong late and will be hoping for a brutal speed.
