SWIFTFALCON (1) resumes. He was last seen winning a 2yo Hcp at Rosehill over 1400m which reads well for this. The 61.5kg is no easy task but he's trialled well and looks nicely placed. ATHANATOS (4) continues to race well but find one better, second again last time behind the smart Rue De Royale at Bendigo. Will get a soft trail and can break through. CAESAR CIPHER (2) raced on speed and proved too strong on debut at Benalla over 1212m, winning by two lengths. Shinn takes the ride and he should measure up. MISS MAHJONG (7) resumed with a narrow maiden win at Cranbourne and is open to improvement. ZETALYN (9) next best.
Resuming. Finished off last preparation winning by 1.1 len Rosehill 2yo Hcp June 15 over 1400m on heavy track defeating Graceful Artist carrying 56.5kg at $6.50. On debut fifth of 10 at Rosehill 2yo Hcp April 27 over 1100m, 1.4 len behind Ikasara with 57kg at $61. Form last time in reads well for this.
Claiming his maiden victory on debut; tracked the speed and boxed on steadily; won by 2 len at Benalla Mdn-Sw September 3 over 1212m defeating Heat Of The Night with 57kg at $9. Open to plenty of improvement and another win is on the cards.
Second-up. First start 3rd of 13 at Donald 2yo SW on May 11 over 1200m, slow going 3.5 len behind Guerite with 58kg at $21. Returned from break came from midfield and won by 0.5 len at Pakenham Synthetic 3yo Mdn-Sw August 30 over 1400m defeating Speculating carrying 58kg at $4. Harder here but could run well.
Recent form sound. At the latest run 2nd of 9 at Bendigo 3yo Mdn-Sw on September 8 over 1300m, 2.25 len behind Rue De Royale with 58kg at $4. The run before that sat on the pace when 2nd of 13 at Sandown-Hillside Mdn-Sw on August 28 over 1300m, 1.0 len behind Fields Of Courage with 57kg at $3.50. Racing consistently and will take beating.
Third-up today. Resuming 5th of 11 at Cranbourne Cl1 on August 1 over 1200m, slow going 3.5 len behind Sparkling with 56.5kg at $6.50. Second-up second last in a small field at Sandown-Hillside 3yo Bm64 on September 4 over 1300m, 2 len behind Pieris with 58.5kg at $26. Place looks best.
At debut, eased back early on 5th of 7 at Geelong Mdn-Sw on September 1 over 1225m, 8 len behind Happy Link with 57kg at $5.50. Can improve but will need to.
Second run back. First-up after four months favourite; came from midfield and won by a nose at Cranbourne 3yo F Mdn-Sw September 5 over 1300m defeating Brulante with 57kg at $3.80. Previously second-up 7th of 10 at Morphettville Parks in the LR Deq Stks on April 6 over 1000m, 4.5 len behind Lincolnshire carrying 56kg at $41. Further improvement to come and is a genuine hope.
Second-up. First-up after seven months favourite; came from midfield and won by 0.5 len at Ballarat Synthetic Mdn-Sw August 20 over 1400m defeating Whiskey Creed with 55kg at $2.50. Previously second-up got back early 4th in a small field at Bendigo 2yo Hcp on February 11 over 1300m, 3.5 len behind Peru with 56.5kg at $4. Not the worst.
