Fresh off a magical 2023 Melbourne Cup Carnival which saw more than 262,000 people flock to Flemington for the best in racing, fashion, food, wine and all-round entertainment, the VRC is offering tickets to Cup Week earlier than ever before so racegoers can secure their spot for next year.
A General Admission ticket provides entry to Flemington’s ultimate playground, The Park including the Live Stage which plays host to world-renowned artists every year.
General Admission tickets to VRC Oaks Day and TAB Champions Stakes Day start at $42, while Penfolds Victoria Derby Day starts at $60 and Lexus Melbourne Cup Day starts at $67 are available at these early bird prices for a limited time until 31 January 2024, allowing racegoers to plan early and capitalise on exceptional value.
For a limited time, Flemington fans can also secure a range of popular hospitality and dining as well as public products at 2023 prices if purchased before 31 January 2024 including Reserved Seating in the Hill Stand and Lawn Stand, Club Lawn Reserved, Makybe Diva Marquee and Parade Lounge.
As always, children under 12 years of age can experience the Cup Week fun for free when accompanied by an adult, a rarity for a major event, while General Admission tickets for juniors aged between 12 and 17 start from $13, and family passes start at just $84 for two adults and two juniors under 17 until 31 January 2024.
VRC Chief Executive Officer Steve Rosich said that off the back of a successful 2023 Melbourne Cup Carnival, the club wanted to reward Flemington’s avid racegoers with an opportunity to secure their spot at Australia’s greatest racing event at great value for money and to be able to plan for their Carnival early.
“The Melbourne Cup Carnival brings together the best in racing, live entertainment, fashion, and hospitality and there is a ticket option to suit any budget,” Mr Rosich said.
“The VRC is offering early bird general admission tickets earlier than ever before to provide even greater accessibility and value for money.
“Cup Week is one of Melbourne’s signature major events. It attracts more than 260,000 racegoers to Flemington, draws tens of thousands of visitors from interstate and overseas to Victoria, and in 2022 contributed more than $422 million to the Victorian economy and celebrates the best of our great city and we expect to exceed that level with the success of the 2023 Carnival.
“It is a memorable experience and I encourage everyone to make the most of the early bird offers, particularly the many thousands of people that join us for the Carnival from interstate and overseas.”
The 2024 Melbourne Cup Carnival starts with Penfolds Victoria Derby Day on Saturday 2 November followed by Lexus Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday 5 November, VRC Oaks Day on Thursday 7 November and TAB Champions Stakes Day on Saturday 9 November.
