The culmination of nine different heats run across Victoria throughout the winter.

The Victoria Racing Club (VRC) will play host to Flemington’s winter showpiece meeting this Saturday 6 July on Flemington Finals Race Day with a nine-race card packed with talent and more than $1.5 million in prizemoney on offer.

Established in 2009, the Winter Race Series brings together a mix of quality established and emerging horses looking to make their mark at racing Headquarters. Flemington Finals Race Day will see the culmination of a series of heats run across the state during May and June. The race day has been a springboard for higher success for several horses including Passive Agressive and Tuvalu in recent years.

The Lindsay Park training trio of Ben, JD and Will Hayes will saddle up eight runners across the day with the team hoping to continue their hot form at Flemington. A strongly contested race on the day will be the VRC-CRV Winter Championship Series Final (1600m) with Flemington galloper and stable favourite Munhamek looking to win his third race in a row.

Living Legend Santa Ana Lane will be trackside to witness the race named in his honour, alongside former Hong Kong most popular horse of the year Pakistan Star. Racegoers can visit the legends in the horse stalls and watch them parade in the Mounting Yard after races 2 and 4.

Living Legends

Pakistan Star and Santa Ana Lane are our Living Legends joining us at Flemington on-track this Saturday. Visit them in their stalls during the day or see them parading in the Mounting Yard after races 2 and 4.

The indoor sports bar comes alive with bar sports, betting facilities, live racing on TV, refreshing drinks, and takeaway food.  Settle in or grab a drink - watch all the days racing from the comfort of your table inside the grandstand.  Even participate in the day's punting and register for the Punters Club.
