From reports he was underdone going into the Memsie fresh but he still ran up to his usual fresh figures when edged out. Should come on plenty from that, he maps ideally and will take beating. VIA SISTINA (8) was outstanding winning the G1 Winx Stakes fresh over a trip shorter than her best, reeling off big splits to score. She's a very talented mare who will be charging late. PRIDE OF JENNI (6) was disappointing in the Memsie fresh, under pressure early. Loathe to write her off so early, she could bounce back in a big way. ANTINO (4) will appreciate the rise in trip and a faster tempo. PINSTRIPED (2) must be some chance off the Memsie win.

First-up after five months made some head-way from midfield; 2nd of 8 at Caulfield in the G1 Memsie on August 31 over 1400m, long-neck behind Pinstriped carrying 59kg at $2.50. Previously second-up favourite; won by 1.5 len at Caulfield G1 Futurity Stakes February 24 over 1400m defeating Pericles carrying 59kg at $1.50. Won this last year and seems on track to give it a mighty shake again.
Memsie Stakes winner. Third-up today. Resuming ran on from midfield; 2nd of 10 at Caulfield in the G2 Lawrence Stk on August 17 over 1400m, neck behind Gentleman Roy with 59kg at $7. Last start won by a long-neck at Caulfield G1 Memsie August 31 over 1400m defeating Mr Brightside carrying 59kg at $14. Found his best form now. Got the Group 1 last time, likely needs to improve further to win again.
Sydney Cup winner. Resuming after a break of five months. Finished off last campaign won by 2 len Randwick G1 Sydney Cup April 13 over 3200m defeating Athabascan with 51.5kg at $5.50. First up last campaign fourth of 12 at this track Bm84 February 17 over 1600m, 2.75 len behind Rumbled Again carrying 57kg at $4.50. Will need further.
Group 2 winner. Second-up. First-up after three months from last on the turn 4th of 8 at Caulfield in the G1 Memsie on August 31 over 1400m, 3.5 len behind Pinstriped carrying 59kg at $6. Previously second-up 6th of 10 at Eagle Farm in the G1 K-Smith Cup on June 1 over 1300m, on a slow track; 4.5 len behind I Wish I Win carrying 59kg at $11. Up in trip suits and he can be running on strongly.
Queensland Derby winner. Resuming after a break of three-and-a-half months. Finished off last campaign post a big 10 len win. Eagle Farm G1 Qld Derby June 1 over 2400m slow track defeating Moonlight Magic carrying 57kg at $10. Previously first up; sixth of 11 at Pakenham Bm70 March 21 over 1600m, 5.5 len behind Rampant Lion carrying 62kg at $6.50. Will find these too sharp.
Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner. Second run back. First-up after five months faded in the straight 5th of 8 at Caulfield in the G1 Memsie on August 31 over 1400m, 5.5 len behind Pinstriped with 57kg at $2.90. Previously second-up won by 2 len at Caulfield All-Star Mile March 16 over 1600m defeating Mr Brightside carrying 57kg at $3.80. Disappointing fresh but her best is very good - write off at your peril.
Champions Stakes winner. Second-up. First-up after four months from last on the turn 9th of 12 at Randwick in the G1 Winx Stks on August 24 over 1400m, 3.5 len behind Via Sistina with 57kg at $26. Previously second-up won by 0.8 len at this track G2 Blamey March 2 over 1600m defeating Holymanz carrying 57kg at $4. Fitter and loves Flemington, but hard to see her winning.
Winx Stakes winner. Second run back. First-up after four months won by a nose at Randwick G1 Winx Stks August 24 over 1400m defeating Zougotcha with 57kg at $11. Previously second-up 2nd of 9 at Randwick in the G1 Queen Eliz on April 13 over 2000m, 6 len behind Pride Of Jenni with 57kg at $1.80. Big winner fresh and the rise in trip will only suit better.
