Hard to see how they beat if unless he regresses. HIGH OCTANE (4) hit the line well first up in the Rosebud behind Gatsby's. He's won a trial easily since and should run a big race with McDonald up. FIRST SETTLER (7) has won both starts to date here over 1000m, showing good toughness late last time. Harder here but has done nothing wrong. STAY FOCUSED (6) was sound in the Mcneil fresh and will be fitter. PROST (3) can run well at each way odds.

Previously second-up favourite; won by 2 len at Moonee Valley LR St Albans Stks March 23 over 1200m defeating Bittercreek carrying 58kg at $4. Outstanding win fresh, clearly the one to bat.

When resuming last campaign 12th of 16 at Caulfield in the G1 Blue Diamond February 24 over 1200m, 3.5 len behind Hayasugi with 57kg at $101. Rough hope at best.

Finished off last preparation fifth of 9 at Randwick in the G1 Sires Prod April 6 over 1400m, on rain affected going; 3.5 len behind Manaal carrying 56.5kg at $19. Previous preparation first-up won by 0.5 len Rosehill G3 Canonbury February 3 over 1100m defeating Fearless with 54.5kg at $3.50. Took on the right races last time in.

Previous preparation first-up won by 1.3 len this track LR Talindert February 17 over 1100m defeating Reasonable Point with 57kg at $4.50. In the each way mix.

Previously second-up 2nd of 9 at Caulfield in the G3 Bd/Prel Cg on February 10 over 1100m, 0.5 len behind Bodyguard carrying 57kg at $3.30. Was solid on resumption but has a few lengths to make up. Can sneak into the minor money.
Looking to keep his unbeaten record intact. When well in the market on debut, favourite; won by 2.25 len at Caulfield 2yo Hcp June 29 over 1000m defeating Landmark with 54kg at $4. Last time out favourite; ran on from midfield and won by a neck at this track 2yo Hcp July 20 over 1000m on a soft track defeating Landmark carrying 58kg at $1.90. Hasn't put a foot wrong so far and can make his presence felt.
Having second run back today. Last run eased back early on 5th of 7 at Rosehill in the G3 S Domenico on August 31 over 1100m, 4 len behind Storm Boy carrying 55kg at $17. At only start last preparation 2nd of 12 at Doomben Mm Classic 2Ysw on May 25 over 1050m, on a slow track; neck behind Arabian Summer with 57kg at $41. Handy type who can sneak into the placings.

Before that 2nd of 9 at Caulfield 2yo Hcp on July 27 over 1200m, on a slow track; long-neck behind Public Attention with 57kg at $5.50. Handy type although this is harder.
At the latest run favourite; won by 1.5 len at Pakenham Synthetic Bm64 August 25 over 1000m defeating Aminatu carrying 58.5kg at $2.30. The start before that sat on the speed and boxed on steadily 6th of 8 at Moonee Valley 3yo Hcp on August 10 over 1000m, slow going 2 len behind Blue Stratum carrying 59kg at $3.50. This will really test.

First-starter by Snitzel out of Soneva. Not seen on the track yet so hard to assess. Finds a very hot race to debut in, risking.
