BLACK CAVIAR LIGHTNING
Results
The NATURE STRIP (1) story rolls on into it's seventh year. He has won Group Ones in the last four years and clearly holds a great chance of making that five years on the bounce by landing this. If he is on, they are in trouble, but he was unable to recapture his very best in three spring runs and there might be some concern that time is catching up with the champ. Has been beaten in two of three Lightning attempts and the fresher legs got him last year. The three-year-old this time is COOLANGATTA (11) who won the Moir with speed and can fly over the 1000m here in a race she has clearly been pointed at. I WISH I WIN (2) is interesting tried back at this trip. Going to get back over further than this but he is a good horse and no shock at all to see him run a big race. BELLA NIPOTINA (5) and ROCH 'N' HORSE (6) will be better back at 1200m but both won G1 sprints in the spring and demand respect.
