The Group 1 Lightning Stakes. IMPERATRIZ (4) can lay claim to being the best sprinter in the world and announced it with a pair of explosive wins over 1000m to kickstart last campaign. If she brings her best, the others can't beat her, but she won't want to be far off it. BELLA NIPOTINA (3) is a top mare who ran 3rd in this last year. She was 2 lengths off Imperatriz in the Champions Sprint and she should be right in the finish again. PRIVATE EYE (1) is a top sprinter who flies fresh and has run some good races down the straight. He was enormous in The Everest, 1000m is the query but he'll be flying late. CYLINDER (7) is a top 3yo who can be competitive, same with I AM UNSTOPPABLE (8) who has plenty of experience down the straight.
