KENSINGTON STAKES
Results
The Kensington Stakes, now over 1400m. THE OPEN (4) looks ready to measure up here having won a pair of BM84 races over this trip at his past two, carrying big weights both times. He drops down to 54kg here and gets Jamie Kah aboard in what looks a winnable Listed race. His win at Pakenham was the fastest of three 1400m races on the card, and key rivals here come through some slower heats. RUNNING BY (2) couldn't quite reel in MODOWN (7) at Pakenham last time out but did start $2.40 there and the win prior at this track was very smart. She can repay the faith. No knock on MODOWN who likes 1400m and was a deserved winner last time and can win again. MIRAVAL ROSE (6) was a touch disappointing considering her price last time but likely needs 1400m or further to fire which she gets here. She's talented and can bounce back. ROLL ON HIGH (3) was good in the Supernova and is talented on her day.
